YUGIOH 5d SYNCRO RULES?

yeah theres this new rule thing about synchro summoning and like it says on a href="http://shriek.twoday.net/stories/4791077/main" rel="nofollow"http://shriek.twoday.net/stories/4791077…/a that sychro summoning requires the exact level of stars so like is it ok if u tribute 2 monsters that total 8 stars to special summon a level 5 synchro monster? or does it have to be exactly 5 stars? thanx
