Should I nurse baby when he has gas pains?

When he has gas pains he acts like he wants to nurse. He drinks some, cries, and then farts. He then ravenously wants to latch on again. He does this even when he ust nursed like 30 minutes before. Should I just not nurse him when he is acting like that? He is 6 weeks old.
